Mercedes-Benz E-Class Hybrids coming to Detroit

Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to introduce two new E-Class hybrids.

First up, the E300 BlueTec Hybrid will use a 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with 201 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. It will be backed up by an electric motor that develops 27 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this setup, the car will reportedly accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 150 mph.

In terms of efficiency, the model is expected to return a combined 56 mpg with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km. Additionally, the 0.8 kWh lithium-ion battery should enable the vehicle to travel approximately one mile on electricity alone.

There's also word of a US-only E400 Hybrid which will use the aforementioned electric motor and a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine. It is slated to return 32.4 mpg.

Both models are expected to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show, so stay tuned for full details.

Mercedes-Benz of White Plains: Winterize your Mercedes-Benz

Our service advisers here at Mercedes-Benz of White Plains know how important winterizing your Mercedes-Benz is, and we wanted to make sure you and your Mercedes is safe for the winter. The winter months are not only hard on us but especially hard on our vehicles.

As the temperature dips down so does the conditions of the roads. The pot holes, salt, and overall traction of the road can increase the risk and danger of driving in these winter months.  We have a couple tip for you and your Mercedes-Benz:
  • Check your antifreeze levels:  The way you can do this is purchasing an antifreeze tester at your local auto parts store, or let our world class trained technicians look at if for you. In the winter you should have a mixture of 50% antifreeze and 50% water in your radiator.  Making sure your antifreeze levels are correct protect the water in your radiator from freezing.  This mixture will not freeze until 34 degrees below zero. So drivers should be safe here in Westchester county.
  •  Check Tire Pressure: As the temperature drops so does your tire pressure. The air in your tires condenses and therefore the pressure goes down. A properly inflated tire has the best contact with the road, keeping you and your Mercedes-Benz safer in winter road conditions.
  • The Little Things: Inspects  hoses, belts, wipers, fluids, and battery levels.  Make sure your wipers are functional and should be replaced every 3-6 months.  Be sure to checks belts and hoses for cracks. If you need help with this be sure to speak to one of your service advisers
  • Heaters & Defrosters: Imagine a winter with out either of these? Make sure they are both functioning properly before the temperature really starts to drop.
Those are a couple tips from the Mercedes-Benz of White Plains Service Advisers. If you have any questions be sure to call them today!

2012 Mercedes-Benz E350 Vehicle Profile

Luxury car drivers love to hear the phrase "more powerful" for a new model-year introduction, and Mercedes-Benz delivers with the 2012 E-Class models. New V6 and V8 engines – and a new, more efficient version of the brand’s seven-speed automatic transmission – not only deliver more power, but also better fuel efficiency, too.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans and wagon continue to set the standard for luxury, performance and elegance in their class. In the E350 (gas model), a new direct-injection 3.5-liter V6 pushes standard power to 302 hp, up from 268 hp before. The E550 gets an exciting new direct-injection twin-turbo 4.6-liter V8 good for 402 hp, up from 382 before. Torque is up for both engines, now a massive 443 lb/ft in the E550 (versus the already substantial 391 lb/ft for the previous engine). For context, that’s more horsepower and torque than the 6.0-liter V12 engine used in top Mercedes-Benz models in the 1990s.

The new E-Class V6 and V8 produce more torque across a broader engine speed range than the previous engines, making them feel even more responsive. The E550, for example, generates its 443 lb/ft of torque from 1,800 to 4,750 rpm, right where you need it for every day driving situations. For 2012, the E550 harnesses all that power for any road or weather condition with standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive, which remains an option for the E350 sedan.
Behind those new engines sits a new version of the Mercedes-Benz seven-speed automatic transmission, redesigned for 2012 to work more efficiently. As smoothly as the previous transmission operated, the new version goes a step better thanks to reduced hydraulic pressure.
For tops in E-Class fuel efficiency – up to an EPA-estimated 33 mpg highway – the E350 BlueTEC clean diesel model returns for 2012 with 210 hp and 400 lb/ft of torque, the latter available at a super-low 1,600 to 2,400 rpm for a powerful acceleration feel in every day driving.
The seven-seat Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC Wagon comes back for 2012, also with the new V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission. Standard rear air suspension ensures steady, level driving when carrying extra cargo or a full complement of passengers. A standard power tailgate provides convenient access to the rear-facing third seat.
The E350 sedan (MSRP $50,490) comes standard in Luxury trim, and the Sport Package is a no-cost option. The Luxury models feature comfort suspension tuning and a traditional four-bar front grille. The Sport has a three-bar grille, exclusive lower-body styling and contrasting interior color scheme. Its 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, specially tuned Sport suspension and all-season performance tires sharpen the car’s handling agility. Perforated front brake rotors recall the "drilled" brake discs seen on some sports cars and help to dissipate heat. The E550 sedan comes exclusively in Sport guise.
Outside, the 2012 E-Class models feature LED (light-emitting diode) daytime running lights, which last longer than conventional bulbs. Inside, you’ll find new steering wheel designs and a more convenient center-console location for the versatile media interface.
Two-door-model fanciers will also enjoy the boost in power for 2012, as the E-Class cabriolet and coupe models debut the new V6 and twin-turbo V8 engines. These two-door beauties, in addition, now offer the Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist safety systems.
For the ultimate in E-Class sport, the 2012 E63 AMG sedan and Wagon will melt the tarmac with a new twin-turbo V8 of their own. The new 5.5-liter unit replaces the previous 6.3-liter normally aspirated engine, matching its 518 hp, but delivering an even bigger wallop of torque with 516 lb/ft versus 465 lb/ft. Want even more? The optional Performance Package boosts those figures to 550 hp and a jaw-dropping 590 lb/ft. Meanwhile, a new ECO Stop/Start system helps increase fuel efficiency.
New powertrains enhance performance in all E-Class models, and there’s a model and body style to suit all tastes. Come and test-drive one of these powerful, luxurious models.

2012 C-Coupe Profile

The words “Mercedes-Benz coupe” stir visions of pinnacle style, luxury and performance. The all-new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe turns those visions into reality in a new segment while offering up to an exemplary 30 mpg fuel economy.

The addition of the all-new C-Class coupe gives Mercedes-Benz a luxury coupe trifecta with the E-Class and ultra-luxury CL-Class coupes. No other luxury brand offers such a wide range of coupe models. The 2012 C-Class coupe injects the performance, luxury and safety of the C-Class sedans into a strikingly styled two-door with room for four and a decidedly sporty persona.

The C-Class coupe cuts an alluring profile with its classic long hood, short trunk proportions and a roofline that sweeps gracefully along narrow C-pillars into the trunklid. The windshield, raked back more than on the sedan, meets a roof that sits 1.5 inches lower than on the sedans. A standard panorama sunroof gives the C-Class coupe a premium luxury design touch.

To that all-new canvas, Mercedes-Benz applied AMG styling for an even bolder, more powerful presence. Accentuating the road-hungry attitude, standard 17-inch wheels wear “staggered” tires, meaning wider in the rear than in the front. That’s for the C250 and C350 models; the high-performance C63 AMG, powered by an exclusive 451-hp 6.3-liter V8, rolls on standard 18-inch wheels.

The C-Class coupe debuts two all-new powerplants. The C250 gets a smooth and efficient 201-hp 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine equipped with direct fuel injection. With an impressive 229 lb/ft of torque available from 2,200 to 4,300 rpm, and a quick-shifting seven-speed automatic transmission, the turbo four feels more like a V6 out on the road. The C250 coupe can accelerate from zero-to-60 in just 7.1 seconds. The C350 coupe ups the performance ante with a new 3.5-liter V6, also with direct fuel injection, that pumps out 302 hp and 273 lb/ft of torque. Steering wheel paddleshifters enhance the athletic flavor of these new coupes.

You’ll find the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupes playful partners on the road, thanks to their superbly tuned four-wheel independent suspension systems. In fact, the standard AGILITY CONTROL multilink sport suspension essentially steers itself as you drive without needing complex electronics. The shock absorbers respond in a “soft” manner until you encounter uneven or bumpy pavement. That’s when you need the enhanced control of a stiffer shock absorber, and that’s what AGILITY CONTROL delivers.

A four-seat, driver-oriented cockpit combines the best of “sport” and “luxury.” Deeply recessed main gauges for the tachometer and speedometer reflect classic sports car influence. The driver grips a three-spoke steering wheel that looks straight out of a high-performance machine with its flat bottom, perforated leather grips and aluminum trim. The wheel integrates 12 buttons for operating the onboard audio and infotainment systems and vehicle settings. All functions display on a 4.5-inch color screen within the speedometer.

The standard level of infotainment, accessed through a 5.8-inch color display above the center console includes a Bluetooth® interface for audio streaming and hands-free phone operation. The AM/FM/HD/weather band head unit includes an MP3-compatible CD drive and a USB port for iPod® connectivity.

Taking infotainment to a higher level, the available COMAND system integrates a seven-inch color display, hard-drive-based navigation, 10GB music storage, an SD card slot and voice control. A six-disc CD/DVD changer ensures that you’ll be able to play your music collection in all its formats. The navigation system itself showcases advanced new capabilities including a 3D city map display and a compass overlay. The available SiriusXM system can provide real-time traffic and weather information right on the navigation map.

Amid all the performance and elegant Mercedes-Benz luxury, the 2012 C-Class coupe models also offer the safety you’d expect from the brand. New ATTENTION ASSIST, already in other Mercedes-Benz models, can alert the driver to the first signs of drowsiness. In the U.S., drowsy driving is estimated to cause more than 100,000 accidents a year. Standard rear side airbags bring the airbag count to 11 in the 2012 C-Class coupe.

Being a Mercedes-Benz, there’s so much more to the all-new 2012 C-Class coupe line. Come in to get a thorough look and road test, and leave feeling in love with the road.

Mercedes-Benz 2012 M-Class: Pre-orders yours today!

Vehicle Preview: The 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

Bold new design and a focus on fuel economy make the M-Class a potent contender.
The all-new, third-generation 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class sets a new benchmark in the premium SUV segment with a handsome new design, low fuel consumption and innovative features. The all-new 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class arrives in two models: The ML350 4MATIC and the ML350 BlueTEC.
The new M-Class sits three-quarters of an inch lower for 2012. It’s almost a full inch longer and half an inch wider with the same wheelbase as the previous model. As a result, the 2012 M-Class offers more passenger and cargo room, better aerodynamics and better efficiency.

The ML350 4MATIC features a new, gasoline-powered, 302 hp 3.5-liter V6 that has 273 lb/ft of torque and uses a new technology known as BlueDIRECT. This direct gasoline injection system features spray-guided combustion and new piezo injectors with an injection pressure of 2,900 psi. In addition, the engine features multi-spark ignition, which provides spark at a rate of up to four times per millisecond, which leads to more complete combustion, lower fuel consumption and lower emissions. As a consequence, the 2012 ML350 4MATIC offers EPA fuel economy estimates of 17 mpg city and 22 mpg highway, versus 15 city and 20 highway in the 2011 model.

The ML350 BlueTEC begins with a completely reworked 3.0-liter clean diesel V6, which not only offers 50-state emissions compliance, but greater performance (240 hp, 455 lb/ft of torque) and increased fuel economy. The increase in efficiency was achieved largely through the use of TWAS (thinwire-arc spraying) technology, which was first used in 2005 in high-performance AMG engines. Innovative cylinder wall coating technology significantly reduces friction between the piston rings and the cylinder walls. It also eliminates the need for cast-iron cylinder liners, which were required in previous editions. This process alone eliminated 9.5 pounds from the engine, allowing for a three percent increase in fuel efficiency.
But that isn’t the end of the line. A program known as BlueEFFICIENCY shaved weight, wind resistance and friction from every piece and system in the M-Class. Low friction axles reduce the power needed to turn. A new electromechanical steering system no longer requires a belt to provide power steering. An optimized belt system with a decoupler allows pulleys to be deactivated when they’re not needed, similar to the way an air conditioning compressor deactivates. The entire program analyzes every system and subsystem for ways to maximize efficiency.

The M-Class isn’t just about fuel economy, however. It’s an SUV with a supreme level of comfort, and tenacious handling both on and off the road. The M-Class’ steel suspension now features AGILITY CONTROL active damping. During normal driving conditions, the system responds with a compliant ride that enhances occupant comfort. During hard driving or abrupt evasive maneuvers, the shock absorbers become firmer, providing greater control and stability. The speed-sensitive electromechanical steering system provides maximum assistance during parking lot maneuvers, which will be a lot easier than in other SUVs thanks to a segment-leading turning circle diameter of just 38.7 feet. A newly refined version of 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive, plus electronic traction control and an off-road button that activates a special off-road transmission mode combine to provide drivers a confident, capable experience, regardless of the road conditions.

The optional Dynamic Handling Package features active roll stabilization, utilizing active anti-rollbars at the front and rear, which are automatically controlled based on lateral acceleration, speed and the setting on the Active Damping System (ADS) Comfort/Speed switch. Simultaneously, the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM compensates for the roll angle of the body through turns, increasing agility and driving pleasure at the same time.

No Mercedes-Benz would be worthy of the star on its grille without an elegant, luxurious interior. The M-Class features an expressive interior design that embodies the commanding position that an SUV offers and delivers a roomy, well-lit interior cabin. With four choices of polished wood trim, as well as an aluminum trim option, the M-Class can be customized to reflect drawing-room refinement or sporty sophistication.
The seats in the 2012 M-Class provide a supreme level of comfort, especially on long journeys, along with excellent lateral support. Electric adjustments include seat height, backrest angle, seat cushion angle and reach. Seat adjustment travel of more than 13.75 inches in length and more than 3.5 inches in height ensure that all sizes of M-Class drivers can always find a comfortable, confidence-inspiring seating position.
In the rear, the seats feature a backrest angle adjustment, along with an optional through-loading feature above the armrest for ski transport. Folding both backrests, as well as the seat cushions forward creates a level cargo area with a maximum capacity of 71 cubic feet.

The new M-Class comes standard with the new Mercedes-Benz ATTENTION ASSIST technology, which can actually detect drowsiness and alert drivers to take a break, and the Mercedes-Benz exclusive PRE-SAFE system, which can sense unavoidable accidents and initiate protective measures before impact. Also standard are a seven-inch color display, Bluetooth audio streaming and telephony, phonebook download, six-disc CD/DVD/MP3/AM/FM audio with weather band, HD Radio, album cover art, auxiliary input and a USB port. As part of the optional Premium 1 Package, customers receive hard-drive based navigation, SIRIUS traffic & weather, 3D city models, intermediate navigation destinations and area avoidance.

In total, the 2012 M-Class is a logical extension of the two generations of Mercedes-Benz SUVs that precede it. It provides the comfort and luxury recognized as Mercedes-Benz features while providing drivers with confidence and capabilities not found in other vehicles in the class. Drive one today to find out why the M-Class is such a perennial success

Our Partnership With Blythdale Children's Hospital

Mercedes-Benz White Plains Sales Promotion to Benefit Blythedale

Mercedes-Benz of White Plains to donate $100 per vehicle sold in July to Blythedale Children’s Hospital

VALHALLA, NY (July 2011) – When the Mercedes-Benz dealership in White Plains wanted to highlight the Mount Pleasant community, they chose Blythedale Children’s Hospital as the recipient of their July sales incentive. For every new car sold in the month of July, Mercedes-Benz of White Plains will donate $100 to Blythedale.

This is all part of The Pulse of Westchester, a social media initiative intended to drive traffic to local merchants. The initiative highlights businesses and events of a different Westchester town each month. Gary Turco General Manager of Mercedes-Benz of White Plains and a lifelong Westchester resident, created The Pulse of Westchester out of his dedication to overall community involvement. "We're very fortunate to live in an area as wonderful and colorful as Westchester,” Mr. Turco said. “This community is made stronger every day by the philanthropic organizations that improve the lives of so many. As a local business person, I feel the need to be involved and to do whatever I can to help.”

To take advantage of this promotion Facebook fans of Mercedes-Benz of White Plains can print and present an ad upon purchasing a new Mercedes to have $100 donated to Blythedale Children’s Hospital in their name.

“This is really a win-win opportunity,” said Blythedale Director of Development Jane MacDonald. “Have a fabulous new car for the summer, and help provide for some of the region’s most medically fragile children. We are very grateful to Mercedes-Benz of White Plains for not only raising money for Blythedale, but also for raising awareness around our services.”

Mercedes-Benz of White Plains is owned by the Pepe family, led by founder Eugene Pepe and his four sons, Sal, Joe, Bobby and Gene Jr. Mr. Turco and Mercedes-Benz of White Plains have actively fund-raised for many local charities in addition to Blythedale Children's Hospital, including most recently, The American Cancer Society, The Westchester Arts Council, Autism Speaks and My Sister's Place. Click here to see the complete list of charities and organizations we have worked with.

Memorial Day - Have we forgotten what it means?

So many people that I talk to every day consider Memorial Day the “official” start of the summer, a day off from work, or a 3-day weekend!  But is that what it really means?

Decoration Day, as it was originally called, was set up to commemorate Union and Confederate soldiers who died while in military service during the American Civil War.  Following World War I, it was extended to honor all Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our country.

This year, Memorial Day is Monday May 30th.  As we spend time with family and friends around the barbecue grill, at the beach, or the mall, let’s take a moment and remember all those that have fought for the freedoms that we enjoy today.  Regardless of our political views, we can all agree that our men and women in the military are always ready to carry out their orders.

Have a happy and safe Memorial Day from all your friends at Mercedes-Benz of White Plains!

Puttin’ on the Ritz: Westchester Magazine’s Wine & Food Weekend, June 18th-19th

Oh, yes, folks, the party approaches—so you better get your little black dress back from the cleaners. To quote one of my favorite chefs, this ain’t gonna be a “Port-O-San in the Parking Lot” affair. Westchester Magazine’s Wine & Food Weekend at the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester promises to be a seriously swank three-day event, full of actual celeb chefs and (yes, really) fine wines. In contrast to similar events, our ticketing is limited—all to ensure shorter lines at the food and wine tables and at the Ritz-Carlton’s luxe bathrooms (with actual running water—we swear).

Events on schedule include two days of Grand Tasting in the Ritz-Carlton’s Grand Ballroom—which, for the greedy (and you know who you are), means four hours per day of access to incredible foods and wines. Attendees will be sampling vintages from scores of wine tables (stay tuned: more on this later) while munching specially designed bites from some of our region’s hottest restaurants. Look for samples from X2O, Birdsall House, 42 the Restaurant, Sushi Mike’s, Moderne Barn, Serafina, Harvest on Hudson, Farmhouse at Bedford Post, and Crabtree’s Kittle House, to name a few. Folks, there will be 50 restaurants participating throughout the weekend. I’m just gonna throw a word out here: Bacchanalia (and did I mention the bathrooms?)

Throughout the Grand Tasting, there will be cooking demonstrations by Chef Alex Grunert (of Blue Hill at Stone Barns), Chef Peter X. Kelly (of X2O and the Xaviars Restaurant Group), Chef Eric Gabrynowicz (of Restaurant North), Chef Phil McGrath (of Iron Horse Grill), and Chef David DiBari (of the Cookery). Also, look for wine seminars taught by the esteemed oenologists Kevin Zraly and Ned Towle, perfect for educating your palate while hitting the tasting floor. Riedel Crystal will also be informing on the contentious question of wine glass shapes. Admission to their seminar, “Shape Matters When it Comes to Wine,” includes a complimentary set of Riedel glasses, valued at $116. Holy Goodie Bag!

Any Top Chef fans? (And don’t even lie—you know that you watch it.) My all-time favorite cheftestant, Dale Talde—the one who told the entire Judges Table to go eff itself, the one with the great Fabio impression (ch, ch, just for you!), the one over whom even Anthony Bourdain wept!—will be engaged in a head-to-head Cook Off with another Top Cheftestant, Ash Fulk.

But the kicker is the most exclusive of the weekend’s events, Saturday night’s Winemaker’s Dinner overseen by Honorary Chairman Chef Peter Kelly. We’re talking 12 passed hors d’oeuvres from Chef James Dangler of the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester (served with still more wines), followed by a serious, five-course, seated dinner with dishes from Chef Kelly, Chef Ethan Kostbar (of Moderne Barn), Chef Marc Lippman (Crabtree’s Kittle House), Anthony Goncalves (of 42 the Restaurant), and Chef Dangler. Kevin Zraly will pair wines for each chef’s courses, and, during the dinner, Zraly and John Crabtree (of Crabtree’s Kittle House) will be honored for their contributions to wine and food with a Golden Apple Award.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m clearing that entire weekend for this hoedown. You’ll see me there: I’ll be the one in a raccoon coat holding a fig leaf.

Spring Car Care Tips

Its that time of year again, April celebrates National Car Care Month.  The Service department here at Mercedes-Benz of White Plains would like to offer a quick and easy checklist to help your car running at optimal performance leading into the summer.

Motor Oil: A must have

That harsh winter and the cold temperatures we just endured can wreak havoc on an engine if its not cared for properly.  Quality motor oil is a must in order to protect your vehicle from these varying temperatures.

Historically, when the weather gets nicer more drivers take to the highway as the roadways begin to become more and more congested.  Heavy stop-and-go driving is a direct result from the increase in drivers on the road, and these extreme conditions call for a motor oil that will protect their engine from the heat and wear.  Some carmakers suggest changing to a heavier oil to help your vehicle’s engine perform more efficiently during the warmer weather.

Pick a Date to Inflate:

As the weather gets warmer and temperatures increase, tire pressure changes. Under-inflated tires reduce a vehicle's fuel efficiency by an average of 3.3 percent. Tires should be checked monthly to make sure that they are inflated to manufacturers' recommendations, which can typically be found on the vehicle door placard or in the glove box. Be sure to avoid over-inflating the tires, as this can lead to premature or irregular tire wear.

Remember that your tires should also be rotated roughly every 5,000 – 10,000 miles and it can extend the life of your tires significantly by reducing wear.

Spring Cleaning

Road salt can damage your vehicles undercarriage by eating away or corroding the metal. A thorough cleaning at a car wash should do the trick.  As we all know easy it is to let all your stuff pile up in the back seat of your car, especially in the cold months.  Clean out all the clutter, it’s worth it.

Check up’s

Check your battery and plugs. Make sure your battery posts and connections are clean.  Spark plugs fire as many times as 3 million every 1,000 miles.

Check radiator and gas caps.  Tight fitting caps on the radiator and gas tank are important. Radiator caps can corrode and deteriorate, so it’s a good idea to replace yours as often as you flush the cooling system.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the health of your vehicle contact us at:

Gas Prices - How high will they go?

I pulled into the gas station this Saturday and was startled by the $4.05/gallon sign above the pump.  I got my license back in the 1980's and can still remember pulling into the gas station asking the attendant for $5.00 worth of gas.  Back then, $5.00 was almost a half tank of gas!  Those were the days!  Today, it gets me just enough to fill the lawnmower!

I started filling up my car and saw the dollar amounts spinning out of control.  It took no time at all to get above $50, and it was still going.  Finally, $62!  When I got home, I decided to see what some of our neighbors might be paying.

Look at the differences in prices all over the world.  Venezuela pays a whopping 12 cents per gallon!  While this chart in no way made me feel it any better, it just goes to show we are by far not the most expensive!

Coming to America: The A-Class Concept

After getting great reviews in China at the Shanghai Motor Show and it's Premiere in New York, The A-Class Concept is headed for production. There is confirmation that this 3-door sedan will be sold in the U.S.

Mechanically this vehicle is perfectly feasible for production, with a 2.0 liter 210-hp four cylinder engine. It would not be to far fetched to also see a turbo charged to join the lineup in the future.  The A-Class will use a duel clutch automatic gearbox, while presumably first arrive as a front wheel drive vehicle and potentially be released as a 4-matic vehicle.

We speculate the base sticker price to start below that of the C-class, which is just under $35,000.00.   When this A-class finally arrives in the U.S. expect it to have some differences from the vehicle that was revealed in china.  The car will ride on smaller wheels, and that elaborate pinwork grille might not be there.  Even with the slight alterations there is no doubt that this A-class will be a beautiful vehicle

Rumor has it that the development team over at AMG has already started working on a 350 horsepower version of the Mercedes-Benz A-class.  I guess we will just have to wait and see.....

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe

With the New York International Auto Show opening their doors later this week the anticipation of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe are through the roof.  A 451 horsepower 6.3 liter V8 engine gives this coupe its motivation.  Mercedes-Benz says, the C63 is the fastest model in the segment going 0-60 in 4.4 seconds topping out an electronically-limited 155 mph.

The coupe shares the same technology updates from the 2012 C63 AMG Sedan, while also featuring the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed sports transmission, with  “Controlled Efficiency” a mode that reduces the emissions and provides a reduced fuel consumption.

If there is a need for more speed and performance then this coupe already has there is an optional AMG development Package.  This package provides an increase to 481 horsepower, while improving acceleration from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds.  This performance increase is thanks to the technology used in the SLS AMG.

Visually, this car is esthetically pleasing with the confident athletic stance.  The C63 AMG Coupe has a sinister low profile, powerful shoulder line and a narrow C-pillar, combined with short overhangs, long hood, steeply raked windshield and long, sloping roof.  It truly is a beautiful vehicle.

The All-New C63 AMG Coupe will be in our Showroom September 2011.
